  • A transcript emerged of President Donald Trump’s January call with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto in which Trump urged the leader to stop publicly stating that the Mexican government would not pay for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. On the presidential campaign trail, Trump repeatedly said Mexico would foot the bill for a border wall.The Washington Post)
  • Robert Mueller, the Justice Department’s special counsel looking into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, convened a grand jury, signaling that his probe is entering a new phase. (The Wall Street Journal)
  • The Senate unanimously passed legislation that would allow terminally ill patients to access drugs that have not yet been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Senators also voted, 94-1, to pass legislation that would reauthorize funding for the FDA’s prescription drug and medical device review process. (Morning Consult)
